The lectures will be delivered in the ground floor suite of rooms called Raven, Whiski-Jack, and Delta Boardroom. Blocks of guest rooms for students and teachers have been reserved in the Delta hotel.

The town of Whistler, situated in the Coast Range Mountains of British Columbia, is 121 km from downtown Vancouver, approx 1hr 35 min drive in good conditions.

The town of Whistler is famous for the natural beauty of its setting, and the wide variety of outdoor pursuits that may be pursued in its environs. Notably, Whistler hosted the 2010 Winter Olympics.

Usually ski season opens November 22, but if there is an early snowfall Whistler and Blackcomb may open earlier. In the absence of snow in the mountains there is still plenty to do. Hiking and biking on the mountain and in the valley.
